I am privileged to work with some of the heroes of our world! I support a variety of individual adults using a very supportive, strengths-based approach that strives to meet folks where they are and promote growth, processing, stronger attachments and coping strategy use. I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) (which incorporates Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Emotional Regulation) and a relational approach prioritizing the therapeutic relationship. Therapy is a great opportunity to practice a safely attached and potentially different kind of relationship than ones we have been in before and teaches us to interact differently in our lives.
I am a mom of young children who have extra medical and other needs and love working with parents at every stage- from the discernment, trying to create or adopt a child, pregnancy, postpartum support to the parenting at large. I am an avid water and nature lover and often have supplies in my car from cross country skis to my foldable kayak. I believe in the benefits of being outdoors, moving our bodies, trying to promote sleep, helpful foods and other things that can improve our quality of life. I love to incorporate therapeutic walks or other ways to customize therapy to be healing and to meet your needs!
